Electric Guitar Design
History
George Beauchamp invented the electric guitar or some may call the lap steel guitar. Originally, in the first Line of electric guitars hollow archtop guitar bodies to which electromagnetic transducers had been attached.
The early years

Electric guitars were originally from an assortment of luthiers, electronics design enthusiasts and equipment manufacturers, in different Combinations. adapted some of the first electric guitars, then essentially hollow body acoustic instruments used tungsten pickups and were manufactured in the 1930s by Rickenbacker. In 1950 and 1951, electronics and instrument amplifier maker Leo Fender his firm designed the first commercially successful solid-body guitar with magnetic pickups, which was originally called the "Esquire". The two-pickup version the Esquire was called the "Broadcaster". The bolt-on neck was consistent with Leo Fender's belief that the instrument would cost modular design to allow and consistent manufacturing and assembly, and a simple repair or replacement.
In 1954 Fender introduced the Fender Stratocaster, or Start. It was as a deluxe model and positions offered various product improvements and innovations across the Telecaster. These innovations included an ash or alder double-cutaway body design for badge assembly with an integrated vibrato mechanism (called a synchronized tremolo, Fender, and thus began a confusion of terms even further), three single-coil pickups, Body contours and comfort. Leo Fender is also developing the first commercially successful electric bass credited called Fender Precision Bass, introduced in 1951.
Gibson
Main article: Gibson Guitar Corporation
Gibson, like many guitar manufacturers, had long offered semi-acoustic guitars with pickups and previously rejected Les Paul and his "log" Electric in the 1940s. In reaction to the apparent Telecaster, Gibson introduced the first Gibson Les Paul solid body guitar in 1952 (although Les Paul was actually filed only at the end of the design process for experts fine-tune the almost complete design and marketing approval). Features include the Les Paul a Solid Mahogany body with a carved maple top (similar to a violin and earlier Gibson archtop hollow body electric guitars) and contrasting edging, two single-coil "soapbar" pickups, set a 24 "scale mahogany neck with a more traditional glued-in" neck joint, binding on the edges the fingerboard and a tilt-back headstock with three machine heads (tuners) on a page. The first models had a combination bridge and trapeze tailpiece design that in the Indeed, by Les Paul himself was drafted, but was not widely unpopular and discontinued after the first year. Vox
In 1962 Vox introduced the pentagonal Phantom guitar, originally made in England, but soon after made by EKO of Italy. It was followed a year later by the teardrop-shaped Mark VI, the prototype that used by Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones was. Vox guitars with onboard effects and electronics experiments. The Teardrop won an award for its design. In the mid-1960s, when the sound of electric 12-string Guitar became popular, Vox introduced the Phantom XII and Mark XII 12 string electric guitars. Vox produces many more traditional 6 and 12 string electric guitar in England and Italy.
Guitar body
In 1966 Vox introduced the revolutionary but problematic Guitar organ, a Phantom VI guitar with internal organs electronics. The instrument of release mechanism requires a specially wired circuit pick, that links to each bundle, which in a very broad and unwieldy finished neck. John Lennon was a given in a bid to secure a confirmation, although this is never gone. After Up-Tight: The Velvet Underground Story, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones also tried one, and when asked by the Velvets, if it works, "was his answer negative. The instrument was never popular, but it was a forerunner of the modern guitar synthesizer.
Other guitars
Also using other materials than wood. Travis Bean and Kremer built with aluminum-neck guitars. Danelectro used cardboard bodies. Also plasic and carbon bodied guitars in the Past has been made. The Gittler guitar was a guitar in the design 8os made. 1991 saw the introduction of the first truly workable guitar designer Jol Dantzig's acoustic-electric Hybrid-guitar design.
