Hey, I had a simple question in the light car audio …?
I am looking for an Alpine Amplifier for Polk 6 1 / 2 component system and 6 x 9s both I get that and the two 100 watts RMS … I could get 250 everywhere, from the MRP-F250 MRP-F550 on that would push 45 watts RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms, the 550 would push 90 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms or I can purchase 300 or the 450 sugguestions Each ???… I also have two 12 "W CompVRs connected to a mono Alpine MRP-M850 400 are each rms If I were to buy Polk db212-2s, 720 that run at 360 rms each and together would this amp too powerful? I would go with either the F550 or the PDX 4 channel for the speakers. It is not that you use all the power, but a stronger Amplifier, the chances of you push your system to reduce clipping and distortion, which actually save you money in the long term. The M850 if I remember correctly am, a little light also ran for Type E's. You can run them no problem, but again at the prevention of pressure your gear too far, I would for Step up to the M1000. I do not think it is 1ohm stable, but it will produce at 1000RMS 2Ohms, which was more than enough for you.
