Sound device settings on the Car Amp for sub?
First of all my previous question will be provided. Had a 700-watt amplifier inter-fire will be installed to force new Pioneer priemier shallow sub and Polk 4 in the doors. For some reason the installer all the doors on the left channel and the sub all on the right. Mix solved the RCA inputs But the problem is that makes me think of the gain, ect. Settings were likely. establish and Is there a good bad way to setup these settings, or is it all by ear? thanks for any advice. Joe
Setting the "gain" or input sensitivity control is an important adjustment for all amplifier installations. The proper gain setting reduces noise and distortion and allows the maximum possible momentum. Here's how: Turn your Amplifier Input level controls all the way down. Put in a tape or CD or tune in a Radio station. Turn on your receiver's volume. You will begin to hear faint music level. (Audiophiles and sound competitors want to use a dedicated test disc. When you start hearing distortion, lower your receiver's volume control, until the distortion disappears. At this point you have as much as possible by signal from the Receiver to your amplifier. (This gives you maximum signal-to-noise ratio, so that you will enjoy clean sound and your system less vulnerable to problems Engine noise). Now begins the adjustment of the amplifier input gain. Switch the input level control until the system is as loud as you can stand it or until you begin Hearing distortion – whichever comes first. When you hear distortion, decrease the gain settings slightly. With After this procedure, you are your amplifier's performance to optimize the receiver maximum volume, so you can increase your system handle almost all the way up without any distortion, or your speakers do not corrupted. Note that this adjustment has no effect on the output of the amplifier – you're just setting the level of the input signal for optimum sound quality required by your system. Many amplifiers have a bass boost function. In most cases it is a variable control – simply increase the height of Dial listen to you. Bass boost levels can range amplifier of +6 dB to +18 dB, depending on the. As you experiment with this setting, you will notice that the lift at a given frequency centered, so that you're still a few bass increase at frequencies above and below this point. Make sure that your system is off or operating at low Volume if you or turn your bass boost control – boosting bass at high volumes can damage your speakers. hope that helps, good luck
