Car amplifier 2 subs wiring question
I have a 400 watt RMS amplifier and 2 400 Wat RMS subwoofer. I can wire it in parallel, the amp is not if 1 ohm stable? both subs are 4 ohm DVC
No, when you see a wire in parallel with the amplifier ohms and will likely go into protection if they do, if it will not blow a fuse or worse. If you wire in series you may have a 16-ohm load that the amplifier will put out little power. best bet would be parallel to either a sub, wired to a 2-ohm load show. Or acquire a different amplifier and a sub running off of each amp is the amplifier a mono or 2 Channell amp? Is it stable at 2 ohm mono?
